Let's try to figure this out.
DATABASE – Not complete but actually really nice to use.
Others: Materia Guide - Fast notes: 100% Spirit-bonded gear can be destroyed and turned into (random) Materia. Materia can be put into materia sockets on some gear. Using materia takes a catalyst (carbonized matter - obtained through any gathering profession). Only crafters (of a certain level) can affix materia to gear.
Beta Updates: More hair styles/options?
(After service begins) We will be adding hairstyles and colors after launch, and it will be possible to change these via Beauty Salons and other content. We are also looking into making it so there are long hair choices for males.
Will there be group emotes?
(After service begins) The idea of having emotes you can execute with others is interesting, but we have other other items which need to be prioritized for implementation, so please let us look into this after launch.
Will FATEs give item rewards?
(Test for Phase 3) Fundamentally the rewards in FATE are experience points and seals; however, some FATEs in Beta 3 will yield items. This is only for the testing of special FATEs for seasonal events and such and not all FATEs will have items.
Can you filter map icons?
(Planning to address in Phase 4) You will be able to filter the icons on the minimap from Beta phase 4.
What do stats do?
(Planning to address in Phase 4) We are planning to add a simple explanation of each stat. The explanation can be seen by hovering the cursor over the corresponding stat.
Add someone to friends' list when they're offline?
(Continuing to discuss) There is currently no system in place for sending friend requests to players who are offline. We will continue to look into this.
Can we swim?
(After service beings) Heading towards the release, we plan on improving the water quality even more. We understand that it looks so nice you want to dive right in, so please hang in there until we address this in an update after launch.
Will NPCs make fun of you if you're not wearing any clothing?
(After service begins) We like the idea of NPCs performing fashion checks on the players! We'll look into adding this after the official release.
Who are tanks? Who are healers?
Gladiator and Marauder (and later Paladin and Warrior) are the primary tanks. Our healers are conjurers (and later white mages).
